Flying Eagles-eligible player Maximillian Oyedele, made his first-ever start for Manchester United U21s in their 2-2 draw in a Premier League 2 encounter on Friday evening.

Noam Emeran opened the scoring for the young Red Devils in the 13th minute before Romaine Lee Mundle restored parity three minutes later.

Nile John gave Tottenham the lead for the first time in the encounter in the 53rd minute and Joe Hugill drew level for Manchester United at minute 58.

Oyedele made four appearances off the bench for Manchester United’s development squad prior the meeting with Tottenham Hotspur.

Due to his exceptional talent, he was loaned to Altrincham in the National League in the January transfer window.

The Poland U19 international made 12 appearances while scoring 4 goals in the fifth tier of English football.

His first Premier League 2 appearance was in a 5-2 win over Derby County in February 2022 before featuring in a 2-2 draw with Everton this season, and logged three minutes in two Papa Johns Trophy matches.

Despite being his first start, the 18 -year-old was on the pitch throughout the game, which is a testament to his quality.

Oyedele started as a defender but has now been converted to a midfielder who is capable of playing anywhere in  midfield
