OSARO INTL SPORTS ACADEMY (OISA) is pleased to announce the opening of its One-Week Residential Player Trial & Screening Programme, beginning on 1st September 2026 at Oko Afo, Badagry, Lagos State, Nigeria.
The programme is part of the Academy’s preparation for the 2027 football season and upcoming football activities and provides talented, disciplined and ambitious players with an opportunity to demonstrate their ability and compete for a place within the OISA player development programme.
One Week. One Opportunity. A Better Future.
The OISA Player Trial is designed to identify footballers who demonstrate not only talent, but also the discipline, character, attitude and commitment required to develop within a structured football academy environment.
All participating players will take part in a one-week residential trial and screening programme.
During the assessment, OISA coaches and management will evaluate players in key areas including:
- Technical football ability
- Tactical understanding
- Physical fitness and conditioning
- Match performance
- Discipline and attitude
- Teamwork and communication
- Ability to follow coaching instructions
- Character and behaviour
- Long-term development potential
Accommodation will be provided during the residential trial period. Players participating in the one-week trial will be responsible for their own feeding expenses.
17 Players to Receive OISA Academy Support
Following the completion of the trial and assessment process, OSARO INTL SPORTS ACADEMY (OISA) intends to select 17 players:
15 outfield players and 2 goalkeepers.
The selected players will be considered for the Academy’s officially supported and sponsored player programme as OISA prepares for the 2027 season, competitions, friendly matches, scouting opportunities, player development programmes and other football activities.
Selection is competitive and no player is guaranteed a sponsored position simply by participating in the trial.
Players will be selected according to their football ability, potential, fitness, discipline, attitude, character and the requirements of the Academy.
Player Verification Before Final Admission
Football selection during the one-week trial will be followed by a verification process before a player’s sponsored position is finally confirmed.
OISA may verify that a selected player:
- Has provided accurate personal information.
- Is not subject to an undisclosed football contract or registration with another club, academy or organisation.
- Is available and eligible to join OISA.
- Has provided genuine parent, guardian or next-of-kin information where applicable.
- Is willing to follow the Academy’s rules, training programme and player-development structure.
- Is genuinely committed to representing and developing with OISA.
Where necessary, the Academy may contact a player’s previous club, academy, coach, parent, guardian or next of kin as part of this verification process.
Providing false information or failing to disclose an existing football agreement may result in the withdrawal of an offer.
Opportunities for Other Talented Players
The programme is not limited to the 17 sponsored positions.
Players who perform well during the screening but are not selected for one of the sponsored places may still be considered for admission as regular OISA Academy players, subject to the Academy’s normal registration requirements, programme fees and admission procedures.
This means every serious player attending the trial has an opportunity to demonstrate their potential and be considered for continued development within OISA.
Application Form and Registration Requirements
Every player wishing to participate in the September 2026 trial must complete the official OISA Player Trial & Residential Camp Application Form.
The application form must contain accurate information, including the player’s:
- Full personal details
- Football background
- Previous or current club/academy information
- Playing position
- Parent/guardian information where applicable
- Next-of-kin and emergency contact information
- Relevant medical information
- Player declaration and signature
- Parent/guardian consent for players under 18
OISA may contact the parent, guardian or next of kin provided on the application before admitting a player into the residential camp.
Players who are not properly registered, identified and verified may not be admitted to the camp screening programme.

Who Should Apply?
OISA welcomes applications from serious footballers who are prepared to work, learn and compete.
We are looking for players with:

Football ability is important, but talent alone does not determine whether a player is suitable for the Academy.
A successful OISA player must be prepared to respect coaches and teammates, follow Academy rules, train consistently and represent the Academy responsibly both on and off the football pitch.
